The adventure then continues toward the iconic Merzouga Desert, where golden dunes, camel trekking, spectacular sunsets, and overnight stays in a traditional desert camp create unforgettable Sahara memories. Tour Plan

Departure from Marrakech at 9:00 AM. We take a secondary road to the village of Aguerssioual, where we meet our mule team. Preparation for the trek: loading the mules, organizing bags, and filling water bottles.

We begin hiking through the village toward the Matat Pass (2,100 m), where we enjoy lunch in nature.

In the afternoon, we descend to the village of Id Issa, where a Berber family warmly welcomes us.

Overnight: Stay with a local family.
Duration: 1.5 hours driving – 4 hours walking

Departure from Id Issa toward the village of Tizi Oussem (1,900 m). We then climb to Tizi Mzik Pass (2,400 m) through a juniper forest, offering beautiful views over the Imlil Valley and surrounding peaks.

We descend into the Imlil Valley, passing through charming mountain villages, until reaching our guesthouse in the village of Armed.

Elevation: +800 m ascent / -700 m descent

Departure from Imlil toward Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka Pass at 2,260 m altitude.

We then take a small road leading to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah (since 1987). Lunch stop in Ouarzazate.

Afterward, we continue toward Kelaat M’Gouna, known as the “capital of roses,” passing through beautiful Berber villages in the Valley of Roses. You will have the opportunity to walk among rose fields and gardens.

Overnight: Guesthouse stay with locals

After a traditional breakfast, we depart for the Todra Gorges, considered among the most beautiful natural gorges in Morocco.

We continue toward Merzouga and the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi. The journey passes through the Ziz Valley, the palm grove of Erfoud, and the town of Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet.

At the foot of the dunes, we meet our camels and begin a one-hour camel trek to reach the desert camp in the heart of Erg Chebbi.

Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the dunes and admire the Milky Way in all its splendor.

Dinner: Accompanied by a small traditional music performance

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes and watch the colors illuminate the sea of sand.

After breakfast, we depart toward Tazzarine, enjoying stunning mountain and desert landscapes. We then travel through the Draa Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in southern Morocco, known for its earthen villages and lush cultivated areas.

Arrival in Ouarzazate for lunch, then return to Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass.
