Tour Plan
Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 AM, crossing the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains. After lunch in the oasis village of Tamlakout, we meet our mule team and begin the trek following a dry riverbed toward Tamazirt. Our first camp is set near the village.
Today’s route crosses rolling agricultural plateaus filled with barley and wheat fields. We pass through traditional Berber villages including Ait Tizouad and the picturesque stone village of Ait Tigga. After exploring the Ait Ighmour Valley, we ascend to the stunning Maous Plateau for our overnight camp.
A major highlight of the trek, today we ascend Mount Siroua (3305m), an extinct volcano offering incredible panoramic views over Mount Toubkal, Jbel Saghro, and Jbel Bani. The climb is accessible without technical difficulty, making it a rewarding challenge for most trekkers. After reaching the summit, we descend to Azib N’Tizgui for riverside camping.

We descend toward the beautiful village of Tizgui, where travelers may visit a fascinating traditional collective granary built into the cliffs. Continuing through the fertile Tagouyamt Valley, known for its saffron cultivation and terraced gardens, we reach the village of Tagouyamt.

Crossing scenic plateaus and traditional villages, today’s trek offers excellent opportunities to connect with local Berber communities. After lunch near Ihoukarn, we continue to the village of Ifran, where we enjoy a unique overnight stay with a local family, experiencing authentic mountain hospitality.
Walking time: Approximately 5.5 hours
Accommodation: Guesthouse / Local family stay
After breakfast, we say farewell to the mule team and begin our transfer via the scenic Tizi n’Test Pass (2100m). After lunch in Asni, we return to Marrakech, concluding this exceptional Siroua adventure.
