Tour Plan
We begin early in the morning with our first ascent through juniper forests and along traditional mule tracks leading to Bouberden Pass (3100m). At the summit, we are rewarded with magnificent panoramic views over the M’Goun range, Wawgoulzat, Azourki, Tizal, and the famous Happy Valley. After lunch at the pass, we descend toward the beautiful pastoral plateau of Igli N’Tanwout (2700m), where we establish our first mountain camp.
After leaving our scenic bivouac, we descend toward Ifri N’Oukhlifa, known for its impressive rock spires and striking landscapes. Crossing Tizi N’Ifri Pass (2700m), we enter the Oulilimt Valley, a traditional summer grazing area for nomadic herders. We continue toward the famous Aflafal Spring, an extraordinary natural cirque surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
This stage is primarily a descent through the beautiful Ouzighimt Valley, where local Berber communities continue their daily agricultural traditions. Along the river, we pass through picturesque villages and fertile landscapes. Lunch is served by the river at Taghraft before continuing to the village of Imi N’Irkt.
Today’s trek offers one of the most exciting highlights of the journey: the dramatic M’Goun Gorges. We cross the river multiple times, sometimes walking directly through refreshing waters where the canyon narrows. After tea and lunch near Ifasfas Spring, we continue through the village of Tighanimine before reaching Aguerzgua.
After a short local transfer to the main road, our vehicle takes us back to Marrakech. Along the route, we pass through Kelaa M’Gouna, internationally known as the Valley of Roses and host of the annual Rose Festival. By evening, we arrive in Marrakech, marking the end of this unforgettable trekking adventure.
